Privacy Policy of KidZania regarding Handling of Personal Information

1. We will use your personal information obtained in connection with your use of the Internet services or our businesses including KidZania only for the following purposes. If we use your personal information for any purpose other than those prescribed in this paragraph, we will inform you of the purpose and obtain your consent.

Personal information in this Privacy Policy includes, in addition to the information provided by you at the time of your use of our business, the information which we manage in association with the information provided to us by you such as your history of using our business.

Purpose of Use of Customers’ Personal Information

  • to process reservations for admission and ticketing you have applied for (including exchanging personal information with credit card companies for the purpose to confirm the validity, etc. of the your credit card) and to provide other services ancillary or related thereto;
  • to ship purchased products and premiums, etc. you have applied for;
  • to communicate information about KidZania;
  • to provide user support including responses to inquiries and further services related to our business;
  • to develop new products and services;
  • information or inquiries regarding products and services handled by us ;
  • analysis and preparation of materials for our marketing activities and
  • in addition to the foregoing, purposes you have specifically agreed to.

2. It is agreed by you that we shall disclose your personal information to third parties we outsource works related to using your personal information for the purposes specified in the preceding paragraph (such third parties hereinafter referred to as the “Trustee”) to the extent necessary, and that the Trustee shall use such information to the extent necessary to implement such outsourced works. In such case, we will obligate the Trustee not to use or leak personal information to others illegitimately.

3. We may disclose your personal information to a third party without obtaining your consent if any of the following apply :

  • when required by law;
  • when such disclosure is necessary to protect human life, body or property, where obtaining your consent is difficult;
  • when such disclosure is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, where obtaining your consent is difficult, or
  • when it is necessary to cooperate with national institutions, local governments or persons/entities entrusted by them in carrying out the affairs stipulated by laws and regulations, and obtaining your consent may hinder proper implementation of such affairs.

4. In addition to this Privacy Policy, we will establish internal rules regarding handling of personal information, and will appropriately manage your personal information in accordance therewith.

We also take the following security control measures regarding the handling of your personal information:

  • Systematic security control measures
    • We appoint the information security manager as a person responsible for the management of personal information and establish in our internal rules the responsibility and authority of employees regarding the secure management of personal information.
    • We will ensure that our employees comply with the internal rules regarding the handling of personal information and will periodically inspect the status of compliance.
  • Personnel security control measures
    • We will conduct employee training on handling of personal information.
    • When outsourcing the handling of personal information, we will supervise the Trustee through such measures as obligating by contracts the legitimate and appropriate handling of personal information, etc.
  • Physical security control measures
    • We will establish a section within the company where personal data is to be handled and implement access control.
    • In order to prevent unauthorized persons from viewing personal data, we will implement measures to restrict devices and electronic media for handling personal data.
  • Technical security control measures
    • We will implement access control to personal data and limit persons authorized to handle personal data as well as the scope of personal data to be handled under such authorization.
    • We will implement a mechanism to secure the information system by which personal data is handled from unauthorized access or illegitimate software, etc.

5. Even after you have finished using our business, we will retain and use your personal information for the period stipulated in our internal rules in order to achieve , such as responding to inquiries and providing information on our services.

When we have finished using your personal information to achieve , we will delete all of your personal information without delay except where there is a retention period prescribed by law.

If we have created statistical information based on your personal information but excluding information related to individuals, it can be used freely regardless of the provisions of this privacy policy.

6. If we receive any of the following requests from you, we will take reasonable measures after making necessary confirmation:

  • disclosure of personal information to you;
  • correction, addition, or deletion of personal information;
  • withdrawal of consent in whole or in part that has already been given by you regarding the use and disclosure of personal information.
